Gary is the founder of The Joyful Noise Foundation. Gary is presently employed with G & S Enterprises, Inc., a corporation that coaches and mentors individuals and businesses globally in entrepreneurship. Walsh retired from Bank of America after 29 years of successfully serving the communities of central South Carolina on the commercial loan platform. Walsh is a native of Orangeburg, S. C. and a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Over the years, Gary has served on the state committee of the American Cancer Society and the state executive board of the Easter Seals Society. He was also the past president of the Orangeburg Kiwanis Club. Gary and his wife, Susan, reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dr. Walsh is the father of Trip and Preston who were born profoundly deaf. As a result, he is deeply involved in The Joyful Noise Foundation for the betterment of kids born without hearing in South Carolina. Dr. Walsh has been practicing dentistry in South Carolina since 2003. He is a graduate of College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina, in the College of Dental Medicine. He also served in the U. S. Air Force as a dental officer. Dr. Walsh is also passionate and dedicated to improving the health of people through dental nutrition and lifestyle modification. Dr. Walsh and wife, Elisa, and their sons reside in Asheville, N.C.
Buddy is an Ordained United Methodist Minister, a member of the South Carolina Annual Conference. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, his M. Div. from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and his MBA from the University of South Carolina. Buddy is the managing director of Stewardship Consulting Services, LLC, a fund-raising consulting firm that specializes in working with churches. Buddy and his wife, Paula, reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Jim Camp is President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau Serving Central South Carolina and Charleston. Jim joined BBB after a career as a trusted and well-known member of South Carolina’s banking community. Camp, a Columbia native and University of South Carolina graduate, retired as Chief Operations Officer from AgFirst Farm Credit Bank after 32 years of service. BBB Serving Central South Carolina and Charleston is one of the state’s foremost business advocacy / consumer protection organizations.
Lynne C. Richardson is a retired middle school teacher who has an avid interest in decorating, reading, needlework and cryptic crossword puzzles. Her prior charitable work includes involvement with church groups and the Sumter Junior Welfare League, serving as president of that organization before becoming a sustaining member. Her interest in cochlear implants stems from being the maternal grandmother of Trip and Preston who both have the gift of hearing due to cochlear implants. Lynne and her husband, Bob, reside in Columbia, S. C.
Having served in the U. S Army for 20 plus years, helping others became a passion of mine. I believe children and senior citizens are our most valuable natural resources and should be cared for appropriately.
Bill is the CEO/President of The Peace and Patience Group, LLC, a wellness consulting company. Bill holds several degrees including Certification in Gerontology and Associate Degree in Human Services from Midlands Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Education from Appalachian State University and a Masters of Arts, Management from Webster University.
Working with The Joyful Noise Foundation provides me the opportunity to accomplish one of my goals in life, providing hearing-impaired children the proper resources needed to succeed in life.
